About Cranville

A workshop in a converted granary, a half-mile from the North Sea.

Cranville began in 1978 when Edward Marsh built a six-bottle rack for his father in a draughty Norfolk barn. He sold the second one to a neighbour and the third to a wine merchant in Holt. He never built anything else for the rest of his life.

Today the workshop is run by his daughter Anna and four cabinetmakers. We still cut every joint on the same long bench. We still finish each piece by hand. And we still believe that a rack should outlast — by decades — the bottles it was built to hold.

We ship across the United Kingdom and survey for fitted installations anywhere within a day's drive of Holt. Everything in our catalogue is made here. Nothing is drop-shipped, badge-engineered, or built abroad.
